Koncepční osu architektury Rykrovy retrospektivy tvoří stylizovaná asambláž pracující s galerijním mobiliářem. Kompozice nově spojuje paletu stylů i oblastí, ve kterých se Rykr realizoval – od užité grafiky po abstraktní umění, od realistických maleb po koláže a asambláže; nabízí nové souvislosti, odhaluje rubové strany obrazů s vlastním významem. Asambláž výstavy v lineárním uspořádání odkazuje na motiv železnice, zasahující do Rykrova života doslova od narození po smrt.

The conceptual axis of Rykr’s retrospective is an assamblage made of gallery furnishing and equipment. The composition joins all the styles and areas in which Rykr was active – ranging from graphic design to abstract art, from realistic paintings to collages and assamblages; this juxtaposition offers new contexts, reveals the reverse sides of paintings unexhibited before, bearing unseen works and new meanings. The linear composition of the axis is a reference to railways, forming an important element in Rykr’s life from the beginning to death.
